Well, I had a very similar problem when I was starting my design career. I had a pair of pants that were too short. After trying on a few pairs of other pants, finally I found a pair that were just right. And that was when I realized I was not a designer and a pants designer. I would make a lot of mistakes when I was starting out, and they always happened to be my favorite pair of pants, but I had no idea what to do with them.
I guess my problem is I like to create new things. I tend to always start with the simplest things. And so when I start out with something I like, I tend to do it all wrong. Once I realize I’m not going to like it, I usually just leave it up to my wife to fix it. I’ve tried it on my wife and she’s not impressed with how it looks.
