I have been wearing men’s dress suits for as long as I remember. I have worn them as casual attire for office meetings, weddings, funerals, parties, and even the occasional day at the office. I have worn them for every day of the year since I first saw the first one in a men’s store in 1987.
For many, it is the first time they have ever worn it. And, for many, they are the first person in the world to wear it. It is only a matter of time before a new trend takes over and everyone has to wear something like this.
The current trend is that men’s clothes are becoming a bit more casual, with the trend becoming more “real” in the late ’80s with the rise of “underwear” as a fashion accessory. We are starting to notice a new generation of men’s clothing that is more casual in appearance. Men’s dresses tend to be a little less formal, I suspect, and men’s underwear, shorts, and tops tend to be more formal.
That trend is starting to get really popular but it is still quite some time until we see it take over. It will take time though. It will take a lot of people who are really committed to the trend. I think it will be a long time before we see a mens dressing suit on sale that is under $100. The Gap has recently launched an ad campaign for men that shows off the latest designs for their mens clothing. These guys get dressed up, wear nice shirts, nice pants, and nice shoes. They get their hair styled, and they pose for the camera. The idea is that the ad is showing the Gap in a better light than other retailers, and the Gap is showing that they value their customers a little more.
I’m not sure we know where the Gap’s money comes from, but it’s probably a good thing for the Gap that the ad makes them look better than other retailers. I can’t wait to see what other big retailers do with the ad campaign.
